Quarter Curved Carport installed in Wetherby, Yorkshire

Back in May, Peter contacted us with a requirement for a carport that he wanted to attach to the right side of his garage. The quarter curve carport is definitely the best fit for the location and will provide the ultimate protection to his vehicle.

Following the initial estimate, Peter was happy with our price for the wall attached carport. We then organised a site survey and design consultation. During our survey, we used our high tech 3D scanning equipment to scan the area beside Peter’s garage… Our scanner collects all of the data and translates it into a point cloud file. We then design the canopy within the point cloud, ensuring it will fit the space perfectly. Our designer then creates a 3D video walkthrough to show the customer, helping Peter visualise the final product.

On-site, Peter and Gary (the surveyor) went through all of Peter’s needs & requirements. To name a few, Peter wanted to use wall attached cranked posts to maximise his space, send the carport roof over the top of the garage roof to create more headroom. Peter also chose to have an internal downpipe rather than an external. He wanted the water to evacuate from a very discreet downpipe outlet in the right rear post, into the vegetation.

After the Survey:

Peter loved the 3D visual put together by our designer & accepted our final price. Shortly after we began engineering the canopy drawings which Peter promptly signed off. Peter requested for the structure to be powder-coated in RAL 9016 Traffic White to complement and match his property and the surroundings. Furthermore, Peter wanted the roof to be glazed in structured bronze polycarbonate, which helps hide the tree debris.

We offered Peter a built-to-last solution as all of our carports come with full structural calculations. Peter, therefore, knew his carport would be extremely safe since we provided the wind, snow and moment loading calculations.

Once a manufactured date had been confirmed, the project manager arranged a delivery date in preparation for the installation.

Once we started, the installation of the quarter curved carport took shape very quickly and was fully installed in just one day! Our fitters had one last walk around the canopy with Peter, who was best pleased with his finished Kappion carport.
