As Paul’s estimated price was well received, the next step was to come out and conduct a site survey. During the survey, our surveyor discussed every aspect of the project with Paul. Paul was unsure on what carport style to go for. He liked the look of the Qubik, Quarter curve and the Europort…so we showed him all three on his 3d visual. The scans taken on site allowed us to create the 3D visual for Paul, showing his canopy in situ.
Paul was over the moon with the designs, but opted for the quarter curve, as it looked the best and worked well in the area. Therefore we calculated the final price for him. The Q Curve is also more cost-effective than the Europort and Qubik so it’s a win-win for Paul!
Order Placed:
The final price met Paul’s expectations so he placed his order with us. Our engineers quickly began the CAD drawings. Paul requested for the canopy structure to be powder-coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey fine textured finish to match the garage door on his property. Anthracite Grey is our most popular colour choice amongst our customers.
We duplex coat our super strong steel carports, which means they last a long, long time. What’s a duplex coat? First we complete all of the fabrication, drilling and welding and then we perform a trial build in one of our canopy production halls. Once we are happy with the build it is dismantled and the whole structure, every steel section is hot dip galvanised. Following the galvanising process it is prepared for powder coating where coat in 80 microns of fine textured powder before baking in the ovens….just check out the finish on that steel structure.
Furthermore, Paul asked for the roof to be glazed in Bronze polycarbonate. As you can see from the photos above, this combination works very well and bronze polycarbonate is the most effective at hiding debris from surrounding trees, whilst still letting light in.
Once the canopy had been manufactured, our project manager arranged a suitable date for the carport to be delivered and erected.
The structure was fully installed in just 1 day! A rapid install by our fitters, but still installed and finished to a very high standard. This quarter-curved carport fits like a glove, maximising the space on the drive. Paul couldn’t be happier with his brand new Kappion Canopy!
