They say distance is just a number, and after a five-hour trek down to East Sussex, we’re inclined to agree—especially when the result looks this good. While the journey was long, the destination offered the perfect canvas for one of our signature Euro Port installations.
Our client, Tim, had a vision for the side of his property that went beyond simple car storage. He wanted a seamless blend of security, style, and functionality. Here is how we brought that vision to life.

Doubling Down on Space and Security
The primary goal was to utilise the dead space at the side of the house. We designed a wide-span Euro Port capable of housing two cars side-by-side with ease.
But this wasn’t just about the vehicles. By integrating a lockable door into the structure, we created the secure garden access Tim had always wanted. Now, the transition from the driveway to his beautiful garden is protected, private, and perfectly gated.
Aesthetic Highlights:
- Thermo Wood Rhombus Cladding: We used this specific timber to maintain a “light” feel while providing robust protection from the elements. The rhombus profile adds a beautiful texture that catches the light.
- 7016 Anthracite Grey: The structure is finished in the ever-popular Anthracite Grey. This was a strategic choice—Tim is planning to update his home’s windows and doors to match, ensuring the Euro Port looks like an original part of the architecture.
- Wrap-Around Fascia: To achieve that crisp, contemporary aesthetic, we installed wrap-around fascia along the eaves. It’s a small detail that makes a massive difference in achieving a modern, high-end silhouette.
Engineering the Details
A project this size requires smart engineering to handle the Great British weather. We didn’t want a single, overwhelmed downpipe, so we installed two external outlets—placed at each corner (front and rear). This ensures water is distributed evenly and efficiently away from the structure.
To top it all off, we utilised Kappion watertight trims on the polycarbonate roofing. This ensures a leak-free environment, keeping Tim’s cars and his garden access point bone-dry even in a Sussex downpour.
The Verdict
Five hours on the road is a small price to pay for a transformation this impactful. Tim now has a secure, stylish, and multi-functional space that elevates his entire property.
